Sarah and Jamie’s Autumnal Affair

Sarah and Jamie were shown around High Grosvenor in early May 2018. Instantly connecting with the 'work in progress' venue they secured their date and plans were soon afoot. Sarah had always dreamt of an autumnal wedding so October 2019 was the month of choice with optimum usage of the seasonal delights.

White pumpkins were the decorative addition to line the isle, they were lovingly garnished with soft pastel roses, eucalyptus and thistle. These so complimented Sarah who was joined by flower girls, daughters Rosie and Lottie, as they made their way to Jamie who looked resplendent in an uber smart morning suit.

The civil ceremony was held in our garden room which had been installed as planned and looked fabulous as guests enjoyed an open air feel, admittedly with a few heaters on!

The same was to be said for the canapé and drinks reception which rolled out onto the patio and gardens as photos were taken under blue skies. The wedding breakfast ( so called as it’s the first meal as husband and wife ) comprised of a leek and potato soup, a main of Shropshire chicken breast wrapped in bacon, dauphinois potatoes and Madeira jus then concluded by milk chocolate and praline torte.

The important formalities of raising toasts to the happy couple were done delightfully during the speeches ahead of additional evening guests arriving to witness the cutting the cake and the first dance.

Mini Fish and Chip cones were served from 9pm when the lights were dimmed and the music played through until the wedding revellers retired back to their dwellings.


" What an amazing place just celebrated my daughter's wedding here, from the minute we arrived until we came home it was a pleasure. Such a spectacular place for all occasions and to stay in the wonderful house was an amazing experience. We could not ask for anything more and staff and the host could not do enough for us.
